Meningkatkan Apresiasi Terhadap Profesi ATLM: Pelajaran Dari Masa Pandemi COVID-19

Artikel ini membahas pentingnya peran Ahli Teknologi Laboratorium Medis (ATLM) dalam sistem kesehatan, khususnya selama masa pandemi COVID-19, serta tantangan yang dihadapi terkait kurangnya apresiasi dari masyarakat. Ruang lingkup pembahasan meliputi definisi dan peran ATLM, persepsi publik, kebijakan penghargaan, serta strategi peningkatan apresiasi profesi ini. Metode yang digunakan adalah telaah pustaka dari literatur terkini yang relevan. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa meskipun ATLM memiliki kontribusi vital dalam diagnosis dan pemantauan penyakit, pengakuan terhadap profesi ini masih terbatas. Artikel ini menyimpulkan bahwa peningkatan apresiasi terhadap ATLM harus dilakukan melalui edukasi publik, kampanye media, serta penguatan kebijakan penghargaan agar motivasi dan kualitas pelayanan kesehatan dapat terjaga secara optimal.
